Installation

1. Download the Script:

Ensure you have the script file downloaded to your computer.

2. Place in Scripts Folder:

Move the script file to the After Effects Scripts folder. This is typically located at:

  • Windows:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects <version>\Support Files\Scripts\
  • macOS:
    /Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/Scripts/

3. Enable Scripts to Write Files and Access Network:

In After Effects, go to Edit > Preferences > General and check the option to allow scripts to write files and access the network.

4. Run the Script:

In After Effects, go to File > Scripts and select the script from the list.

How to Use

Predefined Frame Buttons

1. Open a Composition:

Make sure you have a composition open in After Effects.

2. Select a Frame Button:

Click on any of the predefined frame buttons (5, 15, 20) to move the timeline indicator by that number of frames.

3. Custom Frame Input:

Click on the custom button to open an input box where you can enter a specific number of frames to jump.

Direction Control

1. Forward Direction:

Select the forward radio button (▶️) to move the timeline indicator forward.

2. Backward Direction:

Select the backward radio button (◀️) to move the timeline indicator backward.

Help and Support

1. Help Button:

Click the Help button to open a detailed help dialog. This includes tips, rights information, and useful internet links for additional support and tutorials.
